Knit Bombing!?

I've just randomly come across this article on 'yarn bombing' where people are using knit as a form of street art - pity i didn't find it before i wrote my essay, could've been something a bit different to include, never mind!
I've never seen/heard of it before but i think it's a fun idea. It's a good cross-over for me with my interest in both street art and textiles...











I wonder if this would be a more 'accepted' form of street art and not removed quite so quickly by the authorities?....
